A monumental ceremony today, the signing of the Naawi-Oodena agreement which will see the creation of the largest Urban Indigenous Economic Zone in Canada at the former Kapyong Barracks site.
Chiefs and Council from 7 Treaty One communities along with the City of Winnipeg signed this agreement today almost 151 years to the original signing of the Treaty One agreement on August 3 1871. #wpgpoli
